Manistique’s Zach Lambert goes up for a layup attempt Monday night against Rudyard, as Tyler Kangas (20) looks on. Lambert had a team-leading 22-point effort at Manistique.
"That was a big play because then it became a one-possession game," said Emeralds' coach Todd Kangas. "We also got a couple turnovers in the end. We hung in there and were able to pull it out. This is a pretty big boost for us. We did a lot of good things."
Zach Lambert led the Emeralds (3-6) with a career-high 22 points. Connor Selling added a career-best 18 and Tyler Kangas had 13.
"Zach had a real nice game," said coach Kangas. "He shot and distributed the ball pretty well. He was also able to penetrate and break down their zone (defense) a little."
