FAIRFIELD, Calif. - Gary L. Villeneuve, 70, was born Feb. 6, 1942, passed away peacefully from cancer on Dec. 3, 2012.
He is survived by his wife, Miharu (Yamaguchi); daughter, Tammy (Andy) Lutz of California; and son, Gary Jr., U.S. Air Force, Japan; two granddaughters, Jasmine and Jade; sisters, Cheryl Opalewski of Wisconsin, Rose (Tom) Fisher of Escanaba, Bonnie Underkoffler of New York; and brother, Daniel (Bunny) of Escanaba.
Gary graduated from Escanaba High School in 1960. He immediately joined the Air Force as a jet engine mechanic. In 1970, A3C Gary and family moved to California. In 1989 he retired as CMSgt., after serving his country for 28 memorable years. He worked at the Vallero refinery for the next 14 years until he retired. Gary's hobbies included spending time with his family, golfing, and wood working.

A memorial service was held on Dec. 12 at Fairfield Funeral Home. Military Funeral Honors were held for ret. Chief Master Sergeant, Gary L. Villeneuve at Sacramento VA National Cemetery in Dixon, Calif.
As per his wishes, his remains will be laid to rest next to his parents, Harold "Blackie" and Alverna "Flossie" Villeneuve in Holy Cross Cemetery, Escanaba.
