MARQUETTE - Stacy Jo Welling and Jared Flynn Haughey exchanged wedding vows on Sept. 1 during at 2 p.m. ceremony at St. Peter Cathedral in Marquette. Their nuptials were celebrated by Monsignor Michael Stieber.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held in honor of the couple in the Great Lakes Rooms at Northern Michigan University.
Matrons of honor included Rebecca Smith, sister of the bride, and Victoria Gromley and Stacey Betters, both friends of the bride. Flower girls, all nieces of the couple, were Alexandria and Mollie Smith, Marleigh Neumeyer, Ella LaVallie, and Cora and Emma Haughey.

Serving as best men were Gordon Haughey, father of the groom, and Brent Haughey and Scott Lavender, both brothers of the groom.
Seating the guests were: Joshua and Jacob LaVallie, both nephews of the couple; David Welling; and the bride's brother-in-law, Steven Smith.
Stacy is the daughter of Carol Welch of Powers and Leonard and Linda Welling of Menominee. She is a graduate of North Central Area Schools and Northern Michigan University, and is employed by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources.
Jared is the son of Dorothy Haley of Lake Worth, Fla., and Debra and Gordon Haughey of Marquette. He is a graduate of Gwinn High School and Lake Superior State University. Jared is employed by Cliffs Natural Resources.
The couple honeymooned in St. Croix, Virgin Islands. They have made their home together in Gwinn.
