Christmas Eve services at Bethany Lutheran

ESCANABA - A Christmas Eve Celebration with carols and a Candlelight Worship Service takes place at at Bethany Lutheran Church at 4 and 9 p.m. on Dec. 24. The first service will be lead by Rev. Erik D. Heskin and the Preaching Text is from Luke 2:1-20. Lector will be Dee Dee Anderson-Skradski, the sound system will be run by Thor Heskin. Special music will be provided by the children of Bethany under the direction of Brooke Prins and during the offertory a piano solo by Erika Carne.

The second service will begin with a musical prelude at 8:30 p.m., followed by the Festive Candlelight service at 9. The Christmas prelude will include organ and piano duets by Don Aronson and Kim Beck, vocal solos by Katie Anderson, Macy Neumeier and Greg Schwalbach, a viola and vocal duet by Carol and Sara Beck, vocal duets by Greg and Samantha Schwalbach and Tom and Audrey Wilson and the Senior Choir directed by John Beck and accompanied by Kim Beck. Organist is Don Aronson and the Pianists are Kim Beck and Ann Wood. Offertory music will be provided by the Luther Bell Choir under the direction of John Beck.
