WILSON - Donald "Bud" Hill Moon Jr., 71, N14435 Cty 551, Wilson, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012, at St. Francis Hospital following an apparent heart attack.
He was born on March 30, 1941, in Battle Creek, Mich., son of Donald and Carolyn J. (Everest) Moon. He was raised in Battle Creek and graduated from Battle Creek Academy in 1959. Don continued his education at Andrews University, receiving a bachelor's in 1963, a master's degree from San Diego State College in 1968, and earned a PhD from Florida State University in 1975.
Donald has been involved with the Adventist Educational System at the college level. He was principal for K-12th grades for 12 years at Lasierra Riverside, Calif., Kahili Adventist School in Hawaii, and Cumberland University in Lebanon, Tenn.

He was a member of Wilson Seventh-Day Adventist Church and a member of the Association of Health and Physical Education.
Donald enjoyed dirt bikes, canoeing and enjoyed being with his children.
Among survivors include his wife, Charlotte of Wilson; son, Kurt of Pennsylvania and Sydney Trace Ronanoff of Florida; six grandchildren and one great grandson; two sisters, Kathleen Ekkens and Eileen Horne both of Michigan.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be on Thursday, Dec. 27 from 10 to 11 a.m. (EST) at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Wilson. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at the church with Pastor Anthony Ludwig officiating.
Burial will be in the Seventh Day Adventist Church Cemetery.
