ESCANABA - Mother Nature threw a curve at area athletes Thursday as all games involving local teams were postponed due to poor weather and road conditions.
The Escanaba at Waupun, Wis. hockey game and Esky's wrestling meet at Iron Mountain were among the events called off. No make-up dates have been set.
The Gladstone at Westwood boys' basketball contest is rescheduled for Jan. 7, and the Rapid River at Forest Park girls' game will be played Feb. 19.
The Big Bay de Noc at Hannahville girls' and boys' cage contests were also postponed, with no-make dates set.
