Sister Constantia a teaching nun at All Saints Parochial School in Gladstone is pictured with her classroom of first-grade students at Christmas time in 1924. The picture belonged to Norma Jarvis of Gladstone who was a student in the class. In addition to handling this classroom of approximately 50 youngsters on her own, the nun, along with other members of the school's teaching staff, were required to stoke the fireplace which heated each room.
