POWERS - Marilyn D. Kleikamp, 68 of Powers, Mich., passed away on Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, at Dickinson Memorial Hospital in Iron Mountain. The former Marilyn Kirschner was born on Nov. 14, 1944, in Escanaba, Mich., to the late Joseph and Ann (Nolde) Kirschner. On June 12, 1965, Marilyn married Joseph Cholewa in Powers, Mich. Joseph preceded her in death on Jan. 25, 1994. On Nov. 6, 1999, Marilyn married William Kleikamp in Carney, Mich. Marilyn was an avid homemaker who was known for her wonderful pies and famous homemade fudge. She enjoyed the outdoors where she loved gardening, hunting and fishing. Marilyn further enjoyed knitting and was a big Green Bay Packer fan, but spending time with her children and grandchildren is what Marilyn enjoyed most. Marilyn was a member of the Carney Evangelical Free Church.
Survivors include: her husband, William of Powers, Mich.; five children, Brenda (Charles) Benson of Powers, Mich., Jill (special friend Keith) Cholewa of Ky., Janet Cholewa of Menominee, Mich., Jody Cholewa of Ky., and Brian Cholewa of Bark River, Mich.; two grandchildren; three stepchildren, Larry (Lynn) Kleikamp of Daggett, Mich., Debby (Terry) Frossard of Bark River, Mich., and Randy Kleikamp of Menominee, Mich.; nine step-grandchildren and 11 step-great-grandchildren; thee sisters, Joanne (Ron) LaBelle and Linda Lynch both of Powers, Mich., and Carlyn (Jim) Lynch of Cedar River, Mich.; two brothers, Ken (Pam) Kirschner and Joseph (Teri) Kirschner, both of Powers, Mich.; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her brother, Keith Kirschner.

Family and friends may call at the Carney Evangelical Free Church on Thursday, Dec. 13, from 11 a.m. until time of funeral service at 1 p.m. Pastor Gary Page officiating.
