DeCamp research published in 'Nature'
GLADSTONE - Stephen Joseph DeCamp, son of Robert and Lauri DeCamp of Gladstone, and a 2006 graduate of Gladstone Area High School, recently had his research published in the Nov. 15 issue of the journal, " Nature." The article was also republished in the science section of the Times of London.
DeCamp graduated from Michigan State University in 2010 with a dual bachelor's degree in physics and astrophysics. He is currently a third-year PhD candidate in physics at Brandeis University in Waltham, Mass.
This recent publication is the result of a collaboration of researchers at Brandeis University led by Professor Zvonimir Dogic and focuses on novel material properties that emerge from a class of biological materials found in the cellular cytoskeleton.
After graduation, DeCamp plans a career in biophysics research or academia.
