RAPID RIVER - A benefit dinner is being held for Joyce Zierk on Saturday at the Rapid River Lions Club from 1-4 p.m. The benefit includes a spaghetti dinner, bake sale, silent auction and a 50/50 raffle.
Zierk was diagnosed with small-cell lung cancer earlier this year and has no health insurance. All proceeds from the benefit will go towards paying medical and traveling expenses.
Cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children 6-12. Children 5 and under are free of charge.
