Jan Watson, left, and Alice Barnhart, along with other women from Memorial United Methodist Church in Gladstone, are busy at work in the church kitchen preparing cookies and other baked goods for the annual Cookie Bake Sale and Bazaar planned for Saturday. The sale will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Cookies will be sold by the pound. Also available will be breads, coffee cakes, pies, candies, and handmade bazaar items including American Girl doll clothes and doggie sweaters. The public is invited. The church is located at 1920 Lake Shore Drive.
