A helping hand for the Foster Grands

The second-grade students of Linda Calouette at the Cameron Elementary School in Gladstone were the winners of the annual Foster Grandparent Penny Drive in a competition held at their school. The youngsters raised a total of $591 with the help of Debbie LaFave, who baked and sold 500 cupcakes to her Facebook Friends. Pictured are LaFave and her daughter, Mya, and Foster Grandparent, Berta Maki.
