Ruby T. Winton

ESCANABA - Ruby T. Winton, 92, of Escanaba, passed away Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012, at her home in Escanaba surrounded by her loving family.

She was born Sept. 2, 1920, near Trenary, Mich., and was the daughter of Emil and Eva (Williams) Iverson. Ruby attended school in Rapid River. Ruby was employed as a seamstress for most of her working life. After retirement Ruby loved to travel and spent her winters in Tucson, Ariz. She was a Golden Eagle member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles. Ruby enjoyed playing cards and games with her family and she made some of the tastiest pasties in the Upper Peninsula.

Ruby T. Winton is survived by: son, George (Isabelle) Siscoe of Hayes, Va.; daughter, Wanda Rabitoy of Escanaba; sisters, Florence Hutchinson of Irma, Wis., Ellen (William) Hyrkmans of Rhinelander, Wis.; three generations of grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley; son, Wayne; daughter, Judy; brothers, Floyd, Earl and Monrad; and sisters, Anna Mae and Amelia.

Private family visitation and funeral services were held at the Anderson Funeral Home in Escanaba. The Anderson Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements and online condolences can be sent to the family at www.andersonfuneralhomes.net.
