ESCANABA - Preparations are complete for the New Life Assembly of God's 12th-annual Christmas Cabaret scheduled to take place Sunday at the Danforth Place. Again this year, there will be two performances at 3 and 7 p.m.

Tickets are $5. and may be purchased at Drifters Restaurant, Stone's Deli, Jo-To-Go and the church office through Nov. 29. No tickets will be sold at the door.

The cabaret format provides an opportunity for socializing while enjoying an appetizer buffet prepared by Carol Romps. The church youth will be serving coffee and punch.

The musical portion of both events will include vocal and instrumental Christmas selections, both secular and sacred, performed by a wide variety of talented musicians from the congregation.

Included in the performance is a memorized quote of the Biblical Christmas story, by Kevin Julien. Making their debut performance this year is an ensemble of elementary aged children singing "Angels Are Rejoicing, They're Having A Party," and Joleen Albrecht will return with a flute solo from the "Nutcracker Suite."

Featured guests from the community will be the vocal duet team, Macy Neumier and Travis Dubord, and a bluegrass ensemble by the Czygan family, Cindy Collins, and Charlie Vader.

An audience sing-a-long of carols, accompanied by the worship team of the church, will conclude the program.

Although the event is open seating, persons purchasing 6-8 tickets may have a table reserved by calling Lorrayne at 786-4447.
