Patricia M. Willour

MANISTIQUE - Longtime Manistique resident, Patricia M. Willour, 90, passed away on Nov. 19, 2012 at the home of her daughter, Pat Pelon, in Gladstone, Mich.

She was born June 11, 1922, in Fibre, Mich., one of twelve children of the late John and Lillian (Sylvester) Dougherty. She moved to Manistique at the age of seven and attended Manistique area schools.

On May 1, 1941, the former Patricia M. Dougherty married Leo G. Willour in Manistique. They made their home and raised their family in Manistique. Leo preceded her in death on July 18, 1979.

Pat was employed in the housekeeping department at the Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital in Manistique for 30 years, retiring in 1984.

She attended the First Baptist Church of Manistique. She enjoyed doing needlework and going to Hardee's with her friends for daily coffee.

Pat is survived by her daughters, Margaret "Pat" (Richard Juneau) Pelon of Gladstone and Helen (Fred) Peek of Madison, Ala.; son, Robert Willour of Clinton Township; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brother, Donald (Patricia) Dougherty of Manistique; along with several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, George, Jack, Robert, Harold, Frank and Archie Dougherty; and her sisters, Merle Gonczy, Lois Dougherty, Lillian Barber and Katherine LaFave.

Visitation will be held from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Monday, November 26, 2012 at the First Baptist Church in Manistique.

Funeral services will follow at 3:00 pm, at the church with Reverend Jay Martin officiating. Burial will follow in the Lakeview Cemetery at Manistique.

The Messier-Broullire Funeral Home of Manistique is assisting the family with the arrangements.
