Escanaba tree lighting, festivities set for Tuesday

ESCANABA - The Escanaba Downtown Development Authority will be having its annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony Tuesday at 7 p.m. in front of the DDA office, located at the corner of 11th and Ludington Streets. Hot chocolate and cookies will be served, and there will be horse-drawn wagon rides from 4-7 p.m.

Also on Tuesday, downtown business will be teaming up for Black Friday on Tuesday from 3-9 p.m. Shoppers can pick up passes at local businesses or at the DDA office to receive free limo rides to and from downtown businesses during the event. The passes also enter shoppers to drawing to win a Kindle Fire HD.
