BROWN - Layla June is the name chosen for the newborn daughter of Escanaba residents, Larry Brown and Christine Ramey. Layla was born Oct. 31 at 6:48 p.m. She weighed 7 pounds, 2 ounces, and was 19 inches long when delivered at OSF St. Francis Hospital.
Layla is the couple's first child.
The baby's grandparents are Tom and Pat Ramey of Ventura, Calif., and Debbi and Larry Brown of Escanaba.
Jim and Roberta Smith of Ventura and David Brown of Escanaba are the great-grandparents.
SHESKI - Michael and Heather Sheski of Hobart, Wis., welcomed their first child, a daughter, at Bellin Hospital in Green Bay, Wis. Kendall Marie weighed 8 pounds, 6 ounces, and was 20.5 inches long when she was delivered on Oct. 1 at 6:47 a.m.
The mother is the former Heather Fournier.
Kendall's grandparents are Tracy and Jody Fournier of Bark River and John and Tammie Sheski of Escanaba.
Her great-grandparents are Beverly Fournier and Joe and Joyce Lippens of Bark River, Barbara Jean Hodgins of Escanaba, and Richard Hodgins of Perronville.
PFOTENHAUER - Daniel Pfotenhauer Sr. and Ashley Hendrix of Gladstone welcomed a son, Daniel Scott Jr., on Oct. 5 at 10:26 a.m. Daniel Jr. weighed 11 pounds, 5 ounces, and was 20.5 inches long when delivered at Marquette General Hospital.
Daniel is the couple's first child.
The baby's grandparents are Jamie Casey Sr. of Cudahy, Wis., and Dr. Don and Barb Pfotenhauer of Escanaba.
NORDEN - Jesse and Shelly (VanEffen) Norden of Milwaukee, Wis., welcomed a baby girl, their third child, born at West Allis Memorial Hospital on Nov. 1 at 2:41 p.m. Hayley Ann weighed 8 pounds, 12 ounces, and was 21 inches long.
Hayley joins brothers, Anthony, and Ethan, at home.
Mick and Debbie VanEffen of Gladstone, Judy Norden of Milwaukee, and Rick and Joan Norden of Escanaba are Hayley's grandparents.
Great-grandparents are Marilyn Mylander, Roy and Tillie VanEffen, and Nancy Bruce, all of Escanaba, and Jimmie Corneilus of Ridgecrest, Calif.
