Residents support worthy causes

November 17, 2012
Daily Press

This week's bouquets go to:

From the Delta-Menominee Heart of the North Lions Club in Bark River:

"We would like to thank our community for making the rummage sale and food drive a huge success."

From the Escanaba Junior High School PTO:

"We give a big thank you for their generosity and support to the EJHS/EHS faculty and staff, the kitchen and custodial crews, all parent volunteers, local businesses and everyone who came out for the Fall Fiesta Dinner. You helped make this event a success."

From the Gladstone High School Class of 2013 and the All Night Party Committee:

"We would like to thank everyone who helped us with Cow Pie Bingo; the local businesses who let us sell tickets at their businesses; and everyone who bought tickets or made a donation. The event was a huge success due to your kindness. The winners can be found on the Gladstone Schools website: www.gladstoneschools.com. Thank you."

Each Saturday the Daily Press salutes individuals and groups from our area who have had a very positive impact on the way we live.

We identify our bouquet recipients in one of two ways: from Daily Press news pages and from nominations sent in by our readers.

Mail us a postcard or letter identifying your nomination and putting into detail what they've done. Include your name, address, and phone number. Send nominations to Saturday Bouquets, The Daily Press, 600 Ludington Street, Escanaba, MI 49829.

They may also be sent to us by going to our Web site, www.dailypress.net, and clicking on the submit news button. Once there, click on "Bouquets" and follow the simple instructions.
