Grandparent's Day was held at Bark River-Harris Elementary School on Friday, Oct. 26. Grandparents visited with their grandchildren in kindergarten through sixth grade classrooms. Refreshments and door prizes were given away. This is a yearly event at Bark River-Harris. Over 400 grandparents attended, including Grandpa Don and Grandma Ruth Johnson, who spent time with their grandson, fourth-grader Aidan Johnson.
First-grader Lauren Zawada enjoyed a little story time with her grandmother, Debbie Maule.
Jaiden Mireau a third-grade student, is all smiles as she sits with her aunt, Connie Sagataw. If a grandparent was unable to visit the school, a parent, aunt or uncle could “substitute” so no child felt left out.
