GLADSTONE - A 17-year-old Gladstone male, accused of threatening a person with a knife in Gladstone in August, pleaded no contest to attempted felonious assault on Tuesday. The plea hearing took place in Delta County Circuit Court.
Jacob Anthony Wydra was arrested after he brandished a knife and threatened a male victim in Gladstone on Aug. 26, according to Gladstone Public Safety. No one was injured.
Officers from Gladstone Public Safety and troopers from Michigan State Police responded to the 11:25 p.m. call at an alley on the 1100 block of Delta Avenue. Wydra was apprehended while attempting to leave the scene. He has since been released from jail after posting bond.
Wydra was originally charged with assault with a dangerous weapon, a four-year felony also known as felonious assault. He pleaded no contest to attempted felonious assault and is scheduled to be sentenced on the two-year felony on Jan. 10 in circuit court.
