ESCANABA - Rachel Magnuson and Dan Gatz, together with their families, announce their engagement.
Rachel is the daughter of Robert and Mary Petersen-Magnuson of Escanaba, and Helen and Werner Magnuson-Stapelfeldt of Wisconsin. She is a 1999 graduate of Escanaba High School and is employed as a quality improvement manager at WPS Health Insurance in Madison, Wis.
Dan is the son of Tommy Gatz of Birnamwood, Wis., and Linda and French Pontefract of Wittenberg, Wis. A 1997 graduate of WittenbergBirnamwood High School he graduated in 2008 from Madison Technical College with an associate's degree in fire protection and paramedic science. He is employed as a full-time firefighter/paramedic with the City of De Pere, Wis., and is also the owner of Dan Gatz Construction LLC.
