Senior Companions honor long-time volunteers

Menominee-Delta-Schoolcraft Community Action Agency Senior Companion Director Connie Maule, left, poses with the longest-serving volunteers honored at last week's volunteer luncheon at the Terrace Bay Inn between Escanaba and Gladstone. Senior Companion volunteers honored were, from left: Elroy Ecklid of Gladstone (21 years), Olga Yagodzinski of Bark River (22 years), and Anne Bert of Escanaba (24 years). Fifty-three volunteers were honored at the 29th annual volunteer recognition luncheon. Senior Companion volunteers provide companionship and assistance to frail elderly, mental health clients, assisted living home residents, nursing home residents, foster care residents and adult day centers.
