Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts around the area participated in the "Scouting for Food" campaign on the weekend of Oct. 20. Scouts were asked to drop off bags around their home area prior to the campaign and pick the filled bags up on Oct. 20. Troop 408 of Escanaba was successful collecting 300 pounds of food items for local food pantries. Pictured with their collection are: from left, Derek Verbrigghe, Josh Lamb, Trent Luft, Josh Myers, Austin Moyle, and Scoutmaster of Troop 408, Erick Kestila. The total number of items collected tallied 5,240 pounds for all Troops and Packs in area.
