ESCANABA - An Escanaba man was seriously injured in a fight at a local bar this weekend, according to Escanaba Public Safety officers who arrested a suspect.
The assault occurred at the Delft Night Club, 907 Ludington St., said police who were dispatched to the bar fight at around 12:21 a.m. Sunday.
The suspect, a male from Escanaba, was arrested for felonious assault and lodged in the Delta County Jail. He is scheduled to be arraigned in Delta County District Court today.
The victim was transported to OSF St. Francis Hospital then transferred to Marquette General Health System. His condition is unknown, said police. No other details were available prior to press time.
