I would like to take this opportunity to tell the people of Delta County why they should "Pick Rick" Micheau for treasurer.
I have known Rick since we were kids. I remember when he was 16 years old; he started creating his first business plan. Neither one of us knew that's what it was called, but that's what it was. Rick has a belief system that says you can be anything you want to be, you just have to make it happen.
At the age of 16, Rick dropped out of school to take care of his ailing mother. After she recovered, Rick took his GED exams, and at the age of 18, started his first business. He worked two part-time jobs as well, and started his college career.
Rick's ambition is only surpassed by his love for others. He is currently running two businesses, working three part-time jobs, raising two kids half-time, working his way through college full-time, and believe it or not, now running an amazing campaign for Delta County treasurer.
Rick's desire to do this job is about serving the community. He has always been a great family man, a great friend and provider for those in need. He has always said and I quote, "I will never be wealthy, because there will always be someone in need, but I am rich in so many other ways."
Rick is an entrepreneur, a job creator. He has always worked in the private sector unlike his opponent, who has an impressive career in the public sector. Mr. Sabor and his wife both currently work for the county in government paid positions. Rick has been a business owner for 28 years and has done it all. Hiring, firing, accounting, taxes, payroll, budgeting, purchasing, inventory, investing, but most importantly, as he will tell you, providing superior customer service.
He has every skill needed to do a great job as our new county treasurer. Please join me in electing Rick Micheau.
