AAUW members Kathy Creten, left, and Liz LaBay discuss plans for the upcoming Holiday Tea at the House of Ludington with owner and chef, Suzell Eisenberger. The tea, scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 1, from 1:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., will feature assorted holiday tea sandwiches, scones, a variety of holiday sweets, as well as tea or coffee. Live music will feature a violinist, pianist and songstress. Christmas gifts will be provided for all attending. Tickets are $25 each and are on sale in Escanaba at Walgreens (2301 Ludington Street) and Positively (1300 Ludington Street). Ticket holders must be 12 years of age or older. Seating is limited and patrons are encouraged to purchase tickets early and arrive at the tea at or near 1:30 to ensure full enjoyment of the afternoon's musical selections. Proceeds from this event will benefit AAUW scholarships at Bay College. AAUW promotes and advances equity for women and girls.
