I'm running for reelection to the Delta County Road Commission (DCRC) board. I've been on the board for eight years, and my goals are: 1. Assure each community can set it's own priorities for DCRC money, and that the entire DCRC staff will cooperate fully with those communities when funds are available. 2. Assure budgets are managed productively and efficiently.
Since I've been on the board we have adopted and implemented asset management practices for our roads, which assures us we are using the best fix for the funds available. As your commissioner I've served on the Airport and Parks Board and currently serve on the Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee. I'm the board representative on the Local Safety Committee. I've also served as a member of the Commissioners' Committee, representing all county road commissions in Michigan. In 2011 I was elected as the at large trustee for the County Road Association Self Insurance Fund (CRASIF), whose mission is to reduce the potential for employee injury and to provide a comprehensive disability management program for employees eligible for workers' compensation. This year I was elected as the U.P. representative for a 3 year term and sit on the marketing committee, risk management committee, and Vice Chair of the combined services committee. Since 2009 I been a trustee on the Rural & Urban Streets & Highways Political Action Committee.
My wife and I have a daughter, son-in-law, son, grandson and granddaughter, all who reside in Delta County.
I've worked hard to represent the DCRC and would appreciate your support to continue serving you in the future.
