ESCANABA - Lauren Strong and Adrian Smith exchanged wedding vows Aug. 11 in a 4 p.m. ceremony held in a field owned by the groom's grandparents, Wade and Marlene Groleau. Rev. Debby Bergeon celebrated their nuptials.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Nahma Township Hall.
Alexis Caron, a friend of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Lindsey Henkes, Moriah Baillargeon, and Breanna Nevels, all friends of the bride.

The groom's friend, Matthew Butts, stood as best man. Groomsmen were Anthony Strong, brother of the bride, and Greg McKillop and Mike Wilson, both friends of the groom.
The daughter of Beth Heitala of Escanaba and Doug and Laurie Strong of Minneapolis, Minn., Lauren is a 2005 graduate of Escanaba High School. She is also a 2007 graduate of Bay de Noc Community College with an associate's degree and a 2010 graduate of Finlandia University with a degree in fine art. She is currently pursing a bachelor's degree in business at Montana State University. She is employed at Gallatin Valley Cinema.
Adrian is the son of Mike and Sheila Smith of Escanaba. He is a 2006 graduate of Escanaba High School and a 2010 graduate of Michigan Technological University with a bachelor's degree in chemistry. He is currently pursuing graduate studies in chemistry at Montana State University.
Following a honeymoon in Rapid City, S.D., the couple have made their home in Bozeman, Mont.
