Christine R. Piche

WILSON - Christine R. Piche, 42, N15592 D-1 Road, Wilson, passed away Wednesday evening, Oct. 3, 2012, at her home following an illness with cancer.

She was born on Nov. 16, 1969, in San Francisco, Calif.,, daughter of Steven Arkens and JoAnn Arkens. Christine graduated from Gwinn High School in 1987. Christine has lived in the Wilson area for the past 25 years.

On April 29, 1980, the former Christine Arkens married David A. Piche at St. Francis Xavier Church in Powers.

She was employed at Pinecrest Medical Care Facility as a certified nursing assistant.

Christine loved gardening and working in her flower beds. She also enjoyed the time spent riding on the Harley with her husband and playing Dominos.

Among survivors include her husband, David of Wilson; daughters, Rebecca Piche of Negaunee and Shannon Piche of Hermansville; grandson, Mason Leesberg; brother, Michael (Casey) Arkens of Gwinn; her parents, Steven (Vicky) Arkens of Gwinn and JoAnn French of Gwinn; paternal grandfather, George Arkens of Menominee; a nephew; and many special friends.

Visitation will be on Saturday, Oct. 6, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Crawford Funeral Chapel in Bark River. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home chapel with Rev. Darryl Pepin officiating.

The Crawford Funeral Homes are assisting the Piche family.
