WOODSTOCK, Ill. - Brittany Michelle Wise and Benjamin Joseph Baer exchanged wedding vows on Aug. 25 during a wedding Mass at St. Michael Parish in Marquette. The nuptials were celebrated by Revs. Larry Van Damme and Benjamin Hasse. The couple met on a Catholic Campus Ministry retreat in college.
Following the ceremony, a reception in honor of the bride and groom was held at the Landmark Inn in Marquette.
The bride's sisters, Stephanie Grosvenor and Nicole Potvin, served as matrons of honor. Samuel Baer, brother of the groom, stood as best man.

The bride is the daughter of Judith and Gunter Wise of Gladstone. The groom is the son of Cheryl Miller of Tawas, Mich. and Robert Baer and Sara Day of New York, N.Y.
Brittany is a graduate of Northern Michigan University and is employed at Woodstock North High School as a special education teacher.
Benjamin completed requirements for his undergraduate degree at Michigan Technological University and earned a master's degree in public health at the University of Illinois-Chicago. He is an epidemiologist at the McHenry County Health Department.
The couple resides in Woodstock.
