ESCANABA - Dean G. Campbell, 43, of Escanaba, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012, at home following a lengthy illness. He was born on Aug. 15, 1969, in Norway. Son of Diana and James Moraska of Powers, and Fred and Jan Campbell of Iron Mountain. He attended Norway and Iron Mountain School systems.
Dean was a very loving and caring man with a big heart who would do anything he could for you. Dean was an excellent welder and worked for various companies. He enjoyed hunting and fishing but most of all his love was playing the guitar. He was self-taught and played like a professional.
Dean is survived by three daughters, Whitney, Deandra, and Jessica; two grandchildren, Braden and Arianna; his mother and stepfather, Diana and Jim Moraska of Powers; father, Fred and stepmother, Jan Campbell of Iron Mountain; his paternal grandfather, Fredrick Campbell of Vulcan; his brother, Joshua Carlson of Powers; sister, Tiffany (Randy) Poupore of Powers. A very special and caregiving uncle Tom Cowley of Norway, who was there for Dean unconditionally; nieces, Sydney Campbell, Tayler Poupore and Josie Lynn Carlson; nephew, Tanner Poupore; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins and very close friend, Steve, who was there for him.

Dean was preceded in death by his sister, Natalie Campbell; his maternal grandparents, John and Dorothy Cowley; paternal grandmother, Mary Campbell; and his aunt, Doreen Cowley.
Per Dean's wishes there will be no visitation services. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Burial will take place in the Norway Township Cemetery with Pastor Irene White officiating. The Anderson Funeral Home of Escanaba is assisting the family with the arrangements and online condolences can be sent to the family at www.andersonfuneralhomes.net.
