Gregg W. Tebear

MANISTIQUE - Gregg W. Tebear, 47, 258 N. Maple St., Manistique, passed away at his home Wednesday evening, Sept. 26, 2012 following a brief illness.

He was born on April 21, 1965, in Escanaba, the son of James Tebear and Sharon (Farrell) Blickham.

Gregg joined the National Guard while attending the Gladstone High School and enlisted in the Army upon graduation in 1983. He was in the Army for two years, spending most of the time Germany.

He had worked at Les Brown Chair Company in Hermansville for many years until its closure. Gregg also worked at Khory's in Iron Mountain for a couple years and then at a sawmill in Ingalls.

Gregg made his home in Manistique for the past two years with his girlfriend, Gina Spano and her daughters, Kayla and Miranda.

Among survivors include his mother, Sharon Blickham; and father, James Tebear; four sisters, Susan Tebear, Linda Tebear, Marcie McFarlane, and Sherry Robinson; four brothers, Brent Blickham, Mike Blickham, John Tebear and Jeff Tebear; his girlfriend, Gina, along with her two daughters and Gina's parents, who were so helpful during his short illness.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather, James Blickham; his maternal and paternal grandparents; and aunts.

Visitation will be on Saturday, Sept. 29th from 1 2 p.m. at the Crawford Funeral Home in Escanaba. The Delta County Veterans Council will have military rites at 2 p.m.

The Crawford Funeral Homes are assisting the family.
