ASH - Petoskey residents, Kyle and Emily Ash, welcomed their first baby girl at McLaren Northern Michigan Hospital on Aug. 5 at 4:59 p.m. Meredith Helen weighed 7 pounds, 15.4 ounces, and was 20 inches long at birth.

The mother is the former Emily Caron.

Tom and Gayle Caron of Bark River and Tim and Fran Ash of Mount Pleasant are Meredith's grandparents.

Pete and Shirley Ash of Oil City, Mich. are the baby's great-grandparents.


BREITZMAN - Gladstone residents, John and Amy (Chaignot) Breitzman, welcomed a daughter, Estelle Elizabeth, on Sept. 10 at 8:26 p.m. Estelle weighed 7 pounds, 5 ounces, and was 18.5 inches long when she was delivered at OSF St. Francis Hospital.

Estelle joins brother, Kolton, at home.

Her grandparents are Ken and Mary Chaignot of Gladstone, and Fred and Barb Breitzman of Escanaba.

Great-grandparents are Helen Breitzman of Gladstone and Donald Chaignot of Mossinee, Wis.


BLICKHAM - Bennett Michael is the name chosen for the newborn son of Michael and Jennifer (Labre) Blickham of Escanaba. Bennett was delivered at OSF St. Francis Hospital on Sept. 15 at 3:33 p.m. He weighed 8 pounds, 4.3 ounces, and was 19 inches long.

He is the couple's first child.

Bennett's grandparents are Rodney and Kimberly Labre and Sharon Blickham and the late James Blickham, all residents of Escanaba.

Marilyn Labre of Escanaba is the baby's great-grandmother.


REYNOLDS - Lindsey Motto and James Reynolds, both of Escanaba, welcomed a daughter, Anabelle Renea, on Aug. 31 at 9:54 p.m. She was delivered at OSF St. Francis Hospital weighing in at 7 pounds, 0.4 ounces, and was 19 inches long.

Anabelle is the couple's first child.

Her grandparents are Sandra and Douglas Motto and Carolyn and Randy Reynolds, all of Escanaba.

Great-grandparents are Mary-Ann and John Sorby of Norway, and LaVona Motto, Bernice and Dick Caron, and Jack and Katie Reynolds, all of Escanaba.


ELY - Jason Ely Jr. and Amanda Therrian, both of Escanaba, welcomed their first-born child, a daughter, on Sept. 12 at 10:56 a.m. Aleigha Marie weighed 7 pounds, 9.5 ounces, and was 19.5 inches long when delivered at OSF St. Francis Hospital.

Baby Aleigha's maternal grandparents are Dan Therrian and Joan King of Escanaba. Her paternal grandparents are Sandy and Tony Creten and Jason Ely Jr.

Bonnie and Jim Therrian and Claudette Therrian, all of Escanaba, Theresa King of Alaska, and Maureen Webber of Trenary are the baby's great-grandparents.


CANNON - Tom and Susan Cannon of East Jordan welcomed their second child, a son, born on Aug. 28 at 4:58 p.m. at Charlevoix Hospital. Chase Thomas weighed 7 pounds, 14 ounces and was 20 3/4 inches long at birth.

Baby Chase joins big sister, Riley, at home.

The child's maternal grandparents are Don and Janet Mckinnon of East Jordan. Paternal grandparents are David and Diane Cannon of Escanaba and Sharon Cannon of Plainwell.

Great-grandparents are Francis and Carmel Cannon of Gladstone, Pat Leavens of Kalamazoo, and Dick and Thelma McKinnon of East Jordan.
