DAGGETT - Rita Mae Baumler, 81, of Daggett, passed away on Monday, Sept. 24, 2012, at Bay Area Medical Center. The former Rita Dugre was born on Jan. 10, 1931, in Nadeau, to the late Chester and Cecelia (Rollain) Dugre.
On Oct. 25, 1951, Rita married Ferdinand Baumler in Nadeau.
Rita was primarily a homemaker who also worked at the Island Bar where she waitressed and cleaned. Rita enjoyed volunteering at Roubal Care and Rehab for bingo, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends. Rita also loved her cats. She was a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church.

Rita is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Ferdinand of Daggett; four daughters, Karen Baumler of Escanaba, Sue (Bill) St. Vincent of Vulcan, Tina (Duane) Dill of Menominee, and Brenda (Joe) Luft of Powers; son, Fred (Peggy) of Bark River; 16 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Marcella (Jim) Wetthuhn of Daggett, Violet (Bob) Dionne of Wisconsin Rapids, Wis., and Kathy (Steve) Karry of Marinette, Wis.; two special sisters-in-law, Linda Dugre of Marinette, Wis., and Betty Jane Parrett of Stephenson.
Rita was preceded in death by her grandson, Jeffrey Alan Dill; and brother, Don Dugre.
Family and friends may call at Anderson Diehm Funeral Home on Thursday, Sept. 27, from 9 until 10:45 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated with Father Corey Litzner officiating at 11 a.m. at Precious Blood Catholic Church.
Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Oakwood.
