SAN FRANCISCO - John Emmett Lough, 73, of San Francisco, Calif., passed away on Friday, Sept. 7, 2012, in San Francisco.
John was born Sept. 24, 1939, in Kingsford, the son of Emmett and Lorraine (Marcou) Lough.
He attended school in Iron Mountain and Livonia, where he graduated from Bentley High School.

He later received a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Detroit. John eventually moved to San Francisco where he was the owner and operator of the Many Moons Boutique Shop.
John is survived by his mother, Lorraine Lough of Gladstone; two sisters, Mary Jane Nelson of Niagara, Wis., and Betty (Mike) DeFiore of Gladstone; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father and a brother-in-law, Richard Nelson.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, Sept. 22, from 1:30 to 2 p.m. EDT at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Memorial services celebrating John's life will follow at 2 p.m. EDT at the funeral home with Rev. Fr. Ronald Timock officiating. A luncheon will be served immediately following services at the All Saints Catholic Church in Gladstone.
