Dennis S. Dryer Sr.

ESCANABA - Dennis S. Dryer Sr., 76, of 2424 8th Ave. S., Apt. 1, Escanaba, passed away on Friday, Sept. 14, 2012, at St. Francis Hospital unexpectedly.

Dennis was born in Mount Clemens, Mich., on Aug. 16, 1936, the son of Howard and Helene (Schultz) Dryer. He graduated from Mount Clemens High School and received an associates degree Marquette University in wastewater technology. He was a drywaller for over 50 years with the painters union. He had owned and operated a bar and in the 60s was a professional bowler.

Dennis Dryer Sr. married Patricia M. Koenig on Jan. 11, 1970, in Escanaba. He was a member of the painters union and the Gladstone American Legion.

Survivors include: wife, Patricia of Escanaba; son, Dennis Dryer Jr. of Gladstone; two daughters, Stacy and Christine Walters of Onaway, Mich.; three stepsons, Jim Bourdeau of Escanaba, Dan (Kelly) Bourdeau of Escanaba, and Scott Dombrowski of Gladstone; two stepdaughters, Bridget (Joe) Robitaille of Manistique and Melissa (Ali Lawis) Nieves of Winter Haven, Fla.; sister, Karen (Don) Kemsley of Canada; brother, Dan (Joyce Dryer of Michigan.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Deborah; brothers, Dean and Kelly.

In keeping with the wishes of Dennis there will be no services.

Expressions of sympathy may be sent to: Patricia Dryer, 2424 8th Ave. S., Apt. 1, Escanaba, Mich. The Crawford Funeral Home assisted the Dryer family with arrangements.
