WAUSAU, Wis. - John Stephen Kolich, 56, formerly of Escanaba passed away on July 1, 2012, at his home in Wausau, Wis. He was born on Sept. 17, 1955, in Escanaba.
He attended school in Escanaba and in 1973 enlisted in the United States Navy.
John is survived by brothers, Dan (Debbie Koster), Frank, Joe (Dianna Seymour), Jeff (Jodi) Kolich, all of Escanaba; sisters, Marcia (Paul) Neumeier, Sue (Doug) LaLonde of Gladstone, Kim (Mike) Venne of DeWitt, Mich.; and brother-in-law, Richard Menard of Bark River.
John was preceded in death by parents, Frank and Esther Kolich of Escanaba; sister, Sheila Menard; and niece, Annalise Menard of Bark River.
John had a special love for the water, animals, and music - espeically playing the guitar.
A private graveside service will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery in Escanaba on Friday, Sept. 14 at 2 p.m.
