Historical Society’s Senior Recognition Tea

Honored guests at the 9th annual Senior Recognition Tea hosted by the Nahma Township Historical Society held at the Nahma Township Hall on Aug. 5 were: from left front, Violet Sargent, Lucia Boonenberg, Marie Gouin, Audrey Landis, Helen Denkins, and Mary Jane Pilon; back row, Fran McClinchy, George Reinwand, Nick Denessen, Allen Mercier, Fran Bramer, George Ritter, and Jesse Bingham. Four of the guests, Bramer, Pilon, Mercier and Ritter, were reconized for their first-time attendance and each was given Lifetime Membership Certificates to the Nahma Historical Society. All participants enjoyed an afternoon of fun, which included reminiscing about the "good ole days" in Nahma, St. Jacques, and Isabella." They also heard a program about the history of the Nahma Golf Course, which was presented by Warren Groleau, and took part in a sing-a-long, lunch and card party. All agreed that they plan to attend the next annual tea which will be held on the first Sunday in Aug. 2013.
