Menominee County Voiture 1288 of the 40 et 8 is conducting a ticket raffle drawing with proceeds for the Nurses Training Program and community projects. The drawing will take place on Saturday, Oct. 13. Eleven young women will attend college this fall with Voiture scholarships. Lyle Gearhart, at left, Commissar Intendant of Voiture 1288, is purchasing a raffle ticket from Leroy Sjoholm, far right, Voiture correspondant. Looking on is Marcel Chartre, center, Chef de Gare of the Menominee Voiture. Only 125 tickets are being sold at $100 each. Happy hour at the Oct. 13 meeting will begin at 4 p.m. (CST) with dinner and beverages served at 5. A minimum of 14 guns, as well as an assortment of other raffle prizes, will be awarded.
