CHAMPION TOWNSHIP - An Ishpeming man was killed when he lost control of his four-wheeler while riding in Marquette County Saturday evening, according to Marquette County Sheriff Department.
Michael S. Argall, 51, was operating a four-wheeler on the Clear Lake access road in Champion Township when he went around a curve and lost control going down a hill. The ORV struck a tree on the shoulder of the road at 5:25 p.m., said deputies.
Argall was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a helmet, according to a news release from the sheriff's department which continues to investigate the crash.
Assisting at the scene were Bell Memorial Emergency Medical Services and Michigamme-Spurr Township First Responders.
