LAKELAND, Fla. - Timothy E. "Buck" Tanner, 28, of Lakeland, Florida, passed away while traveling for his job on Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012 in Savannah, Tenn.
He was born on Aug. 27, 1984, in Lakeland, Fla., son of Timothy E. and Jean A. (Mott) Tanner. Timothy was baptized on his due date which was Sunday, Sept. 9, 1984. He attended St. Joseph's School and graduated from Mulberry High School in 2002.
Buck served in the U.S. Army from 2005 to 2007. He was stationed in Germany and served six months in Iraq.

He worked for Publix Supermarket from 2000 to 2005 and then from 2007 to 2009.
He was a member of St. Joseph's Church in Lakeland and was a previous member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Bark River.
He is survived by his parents, Timothy and Jean Tanner of Lakeland, Fla.; brothers, Raymond B. Tanner, James R. Tanner, Theodore "Teddy" J. Tanner, John G. Tanner all of Lakeland, Fla.; grandparents, Raymond and Elorine Mott of Bark River; many, many aunts and uncles; and many, many, many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Buddy and Nancy Tanner; three uncles, Butchy, Ted and Fred Mott; and cousins, Bobby Mileski and Caden Clifford .
Visitation will be on Wednesday, Sept. 12 from 3 to 5:30 p.m. at the Crawford Funeral Chapel in Bark River. Rheaume-Knauf American Legion Post 437 will have military rites at 5 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 6 p.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church with Rev. Darryl Pepin and Rev. Al Mott concelebrating. A meal will follow in the church hall.
Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery in Perronville at 10 a.m.
The Crawford Funeral Homes are assisting the Tanner family.
