RAPID RIVER - Jason Scott Hunter, 29, of 110611 U.25 Road, Rapid River, passed away Wednesday Sept. 5, 2012, at home following a lengthy illness.
Jason was born Aug. 6, 1983, in Dayton, Ohio, the son of Clarence "Denny" and Theresa Ann (Clark) Hunter. He was raised in Dayton where he resided until age 20 when he relocated to New Port Richey, Fla. He has resided in Rapid River for the past year.
Jason enjoyed fishing and automobiles.

In addition to his parents, Denny and Theresa of Rapid River, survivors include: daughters, Taylor Guinn of Rapid River, Skylar and Morgan Hunter of Dayton, Ohio; brothers, Craig and Kyle Hunter of New Port Richey, Fla.; sister, Angie Hunter of Dayton, Ohio; maternal grandparents, Ben and Linda Clark of Rapid River; paternal grandmother, Lucy Hunter of New Port Richey, Fla.; aunt, Robin Clark of Rapid River; uncle, Donald Clark of Evansville, Ind., and numerous uncles in Florida and several cousins.
Jason was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Lucian Hunter.
Funeral services celebrating the life of Jason Scott Hunter will be held on Thursday, Sept. 13, at 1 p.m. at the Trinity Episcopal Church in Gladstone with Rev. Carol Clark officiating. Interment will follow at the Rapid River Cemetery in Rapid River. The Skradski Family Funeral Homes of Escanaba and Gladstone are assisting the Hunter family.
