Carlson - Friedline

MONROE - Teenage sweethearts, Crystal (Watchorn) Carlson and Edward L. Friedline, were reunited after 30 years apart and exchanged wedding vows on June 23 during a 2 p.m. ceremony at the Rapid River Lodge by the river. Pastor Lew Pizzala officiated the nuptials.

Standing in for the bride as matron of honor was Joan Dufour, best friend of the bride. Mary Carlson, friend and coworker of the bride, served as bridesmaid.

David Cantrell, best friend of the groom, stood as best man. Brother of the groom, Walter Friedline, served as groomsman.

Edward and Crystal Friedline

Crystal was given in marriage by her brother, Gary Watchorn. Readers were Danielle Carlson, daughter of the bride, and Emily Friedline, daughter of the groom. Soloist was Marcia Peterson of Bark River, a friend of the bride.

Serving as ushers were Andy Friedline, brother of groom, and Graham Currie, brother-in-law of the groom. Cameron Sudak, grandson of the groom, was ring bearer.

Honored guests for the ceremony were: Audrey Landis of Isabella and Marion Norlin of Goulais River, Canada, both aunts of the bride; Jeanne Cominess of Monroe, Mich., aunt of the groom; and Susan Currie of Monroe, sister of the groom.

The daughter of the late Dale and Lillian Watchorn of Isabella, Crystal is employed at The Learning Center in Escanaba.

Edward is the son of the late Norman and Mary Friedline of Monroe, Mich. He is employed with DTE Energy in Monroe.
