ESCANABA - James J. "Jim" Boyle, of Escanaba, passed peacefully in his sleep at home on Aug. 30 2012, at 66 years young.
Jim was born July 7, 1946, to John and Frances Boyle of Escanaba. He attended Holy Name High School in Escanaba and Michigan State University in East Lansing, Mich.
Work experiences included sales of various products in the Midwest and he was owner of the Metropolitan Bar.
He was an avid fisherman, lover of nature and animal advocate. He was intuitive, sensitive and loyal. He enjoyed playing baseball and hockey. He was an absolute Green Bay Packer fan and a wicked cribbage player.
Jim is survived by his loving daughter, Danielle White and son in law, John, and grandson, James residing in England; brother, Dan Boyle of Escanaba; sister-in-law, Sharon and her sons, Jeff, Andy and Tom Willis; brother, Mike Boyle and sister-in-law, Lorraine and nephews John, Jim and Freddie Boyle of St. Louis Park, Minn. He also leaves behind his faithful dog, Mr. Bruno.
At Jim's request, no services will be held.
Memorials may be directed to the Delta Animal Shelter in Jim's name. The Crawford Funeral Homes are assisting the Boyle family.
