BARK RIVER - Nora (Lehto) VanEnkevort, 89, a long time Bark River, resident went to be with the Lord on Monday, Aug. 27, 2012, at Pinecrest Medical Care Facility. She was born on Nov. 22, 1922, in Rudyard, Mich., and was the daughter of Jacob and Laimi Lehto.
She was the loving wife of the late Arthur VanEnkevort, whom she married on Oct. 18, 1941. Together they owned and operated a dairy farm.
Nora enjoyed many hobbies. Her favorite hobbies included knitting, crocheting, quilt making and making rag rugs. She was also an excellent gardener and homemaker. She and her husband fellowshipped at the Watson Bible Chapel.

Among her survivors include her son, Daniel (Catherine) VanEnkevort of Bark River; daughters, Marie (Ernest) Vallier of Gladstone and Shirley Wyatt of Escanaba; daughter-in-law, Julaine VanEnkevort of Bark River; grandchildren, Mark (Natalie) VanEnkevort, Craig (Barbera) VanEnkevort, Brian (Carrie) VanEnkevort, Connie Draze, Joshua (Melissa) Kyllo, Sarah (Karl) Walldorf, Matt VanEnkevort, Kristy (Aaron) Moreau, and Ben Wyatt; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers, Melvin Lehto and Ernest Lehto; and sister, Gloria (Richard) Durga; and also many nieces and nephews.
Nora was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur; son, Clifford VanEnkevort; brothers and sister, Harry, John, Raymond and Donald Lehto and Shirley Tann.
Visitation will be on Friday, Aug. 31, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Crawford Funeral Chapel in Bark River with the service to follow at 6 p.m. with Pastor Christine Bergquist officiating.
Burial will immediately follow at the Bark River Cemetery. The Crawford Funeral Homes are assisting the VanEnkevort family.
