50th anniversary for Charons

ESCANABA - Bill and Carole Charon celebrated their golden wedding anniversary on June 30, with a party in their honor at the American Legion Hall in Gladstone. The celebration was hosted by their daughter and son-in-law, Jackie and Dave Martin.

Bill and the former Carole Sheedlo were married on June 30, 1962, during a ceremony held at St. Thomas the Apostle Church with Rev. Arnold Thompson officiating.

The couple are the parents of two daughters, Cara Koszla and Jacalyn Martin. They also have six grandchildren and two great-granddaughters.

Bill and Carole Charon

Bill worked at Harnischfeger Corporation from 1959 until the Escanaba plant was closed in 1984. He owned and operated the Delta Frame Company until his retirement.

Carole worked at Anthony and Co. for about 32 years.

In their retirement Bill enjoys gardening and spending time at his camp. Carole enjoys Red Hats, and both are involved in local and federal politics.
