MARINETTE - Patrick Allen Deiter, 55, former Escanaba resident, passed away Monday, Aug. 20, 2012, at his home in Marinette, Wis. He was born Oct. 22, 1956, in Escanaba and was the son of Albert and Martha (Burnham) Deiter.
Patrick graduated from Escanaba High School and then served in the U.S. Army. He was employed as a cook at the Stonehouse Restaurant in Escanaba and later owned and operated the Owls Nest Cafe in Champion until his retirement.
He took pride in his family and friends and enjoyed making everyone laugh. Patrick was an avid mushroom hunter, loved the outdoors and collecting owls.

Patrick Allen Deiter is survived by his two daughters, Tina Marie Deiter of Escanaba, Amanda Ann Deiter of Escanaba; four stepdaughters, Kimmy Steibrecher of Marinette, Jenny Steibrecher of Marinette, Michelle Schultz of Marinette, and Chrissy Lynch of Marinette; nine grandchildren, Katina, Daytona, Matt, Isaac, Owen, David, Hunter, Anna and Leah; four brothers, Albert Deiter Jr., Robert Burnham, LeRoy Johnson, Roy (Jeanette) Johnson; three sisters, Ann Marie (Daniel) Hane, Loretta Ann (Norbert) Beauchamp, Muriel Deiter; friend, Mike Kramer; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Karol Deiter; four brothers, Mike Deiter, Jerome Johnson, Clark Johnson, Earl Deiter and George Johnson.
Funeral services celebrating the life of Patrick Allen Deiter will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, at Immanuel Lutheran Church with Rev. Judy Kincaid officiating. A luncheon will be served following the funeral services in the church fellowship hall.
