CAMBRIA, Wis. - Brooke B. Chapman, 13, died unexpectedly Aug. 11, 2012, at the Beaver Dam Community Hospital, due to complications of a heart condition.
Brooke was born in Marinette, Wis., on Dec. 8, 1998, the daughter of Scott Chapman and Jackie Prellwitz. She attended schools in Appleton, Marinette and was to be an eighth grade student at Cambria-Friesland Junior High.
Brooke had a love of music, was in the choir, was a flutist in the band and had competed in Solo-Ensemble. Brooke's big smile and great attitude gained her a large circle of friends both in cheerleading for the basketball and football teams.
She was an accomplished artist and painted many pictures. Brooke spent most of her free time with her brother Ryan, especially shooting baskets and enjoying their daily trips to the Cambria pool.
Brooke will be dearly missed by her father, Scott Chapman of Cambria; her mother, Jackie Prellwitz of Appleton; her brother, Ryan, at home, her brother, Brent (Erica) Chapman and their daughter Emma of Fort Irwin, Calif.; one sister, Erika Chapman and her children, Aaron, Mia and Nova of Appleton; half-brothers, Scotty Chapman, Jeff, Jake and Tyrese, all of Appleton; paternal grandmother, Jean Chapman of Escanaba; maternal grandmother, Mary Owens of Appleton; aunts, uncles, cousins and many dear friends.
Brooke was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Lowell "Chip" Chapman and her maternal grandfather.
Burial was held at Green Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Sheboygan, Wis.
