Michigan Tech announces grads
HOUGHTON - Michigan Technological University honored the achievements of more than 1,000 graduates at Spring Commencement, including the following students from the local area.
Earning a master's degree was Kenneth Shiel, mechanical engineering.
Bachelor's degrees were awarded to the following:
BARK RIVER - Jaimee Lofquist, biomedical engineering, and Nathan Beauchamp, geology.
CORNELL - Justin Kirby, forestry, Brian Judson, mechanical engineering; and Lukas Lund, mechanical engineering.
ESCANABA - Carissa Miller, business administration; Elijah Haines, social science; Logan Pirkola, electrical engineering; and Brandon Pilcher, computer network and system administration.
GLADSTONE - Paul DeMay, mechanical engineering; Eric Shepeck, geological engineering; Nick Thomas, chemical engineering; Kelly Roxbury, clinical laboratory science.
MANISTIQUE - Kelsey Root, chemical engineering; Deryk Reque, chemical engineering; and Marissa McDonough, biological sciences.
RAPID RIVER - Matthew Chambers, computer network and system administration.
ROCK - Jason Norkoli, mechanical engineering.
