The Daily Press carriers were treated to a dinner by members of the newspaper staff in this 1947 photo furnished for publication by Mary Swille of Escanaba. She said she found the photo in a collection of pictures belonging to her brother, Don McLaughten, now deceased. Don, pictured sixth from left on the left side of the table, and brother, Harold, third boy from far end on the right, were both Press paper boys. Swille also identified the following: Chuck Ellingson, in fourth seat on the left; Gerald Brodd, fifth from front end on the right; Jack Roberts, third from end on right; and Ken Swanson, owner of Hilltop Camper, seated on Roberts' left.
